Had an opportunity to test out the Selkirk Vanguard Pro and this paddle. The only difference I found was the Selkirk has more pop to it and of course the price being double the cost. Since I have been playing 3 times a week over the last couple of years, I decided to get this as my 3rd paddle. So far it’s been great. It has great control and my power when needed is there as well. The only downside is that the grip makes my hand sweat like crazy. By installing an over grip it solved the problem.
Very well balanced, great 'bite' on the ball for added control and spin and solid feel for both touch and power shots. Very quickly became my preferred paddle after trying a demo. Bought 4 paddles for the whole family!

I have been a supporter of Selkirk since I picked up the sport of pickleball in 2020. But after I had an opportunity to demo an Aethos paddle I was sold. I immediately purchased my very own paddle. My husband felt the same way as well. We actually ordered 2 paddles. Customer service is also amazing. When I wrote to them after placing my order to let them know I had forgotten to order an eraser they very kindly sent me one.
Bought my new Aethos paddle a few weeks ago. Been loving it so far. Great feel and spin. Definitely worth trying if you are not familiar with the brand. Great value for a high quality paddle.
